Sales and Product Development Executive (New York Based)

Primary Objectives of Position

 Collaborate with Asia/overseas teams to achieve design adoptions, attend to customer design inquiries, and fulfill their needs with professional trend insights.

  1. Job Description
    • Managing design process from conception through to final styling.
    • Staying up to date with trends to stay ahead of competitors and look out for white space opportunities.
    • Conduct market research to identify seasonal trends and react faster to market demands.
    • Be proactive to work with Asia team to drive more sales by showing relevant trends, product categories and fabric intelligence
    • Build good communication with our customer base both on email and in person.
    • Able to comprehend each buyer’s brand DNA and product assortment in order to design and communicate accurately.
    • Will be tasked to focus and take charge of at least 1-2 categories (Women, Men or Kids)
    • Source for fabric newness, techniques and relevant inspirations for all brands.
    • Creation of presentation board materials such as market intelligence reports, design collaterals, fabric boards for design meetings with clients in USA.
    • Create technical sketches via computer software and preparing of tech packs/quick packs for sample room.
    • Liaising with printers on artwork execution or technical processes.
    • Liaising with fabric mills and sample rooms based in Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia.
    • Work on Co-development projects with existing clients’ private label brands.
  2. Requirements
    • College Degree in Fashion Design or related discipline.
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in fashion design for USA and Canada markets.
    • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Illustrator.
    • Travel for meetings to meet customers in person and build relationships with them.
    • Ability to use CLO and Browzwear softwares will be a plus.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Initiative, eye for details, creative thinker and a team player.
    • Good organizational skills and time management.
    • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and extra hours when needed.
